Whether I am in a survival situation or not I try to stay aware of my surroundings. I first became more aware of what was going on around me when I moved to NJ from PA about 10 years ago. I went from small town to big suburbs and big city as well. It was a real change. But one of the real things I noticed was how the level of diversity in people was so large. I was immediately more aware of my surroundings and immediately suspect of those I did not know or that I profiled as being a threat.
More recently, on one of the survival boards I am on, a survivalist friend of mine made me more aware of the “Cooper Codes” which are situational states of awareness. After doing some research I came across the following information and I think would be good information for people to have.
