Whether I am in a sur­vival sit­u­a­tion or not I try to stay aware of my sur­round­ings.  I first became more aware of what was going on around me when I moved to NJ from PA about 10 years ago.  I went from small town to big sub­urbs and big city as well.  It was a real change.  But one of the real things I noticed was how the lev­el of diver­si­ty in peo­ple was so large.  I was imme­di­ate­ly more aware of my sur­round­ings and imme­di­ate­ly sus­pect of those I did not know or that I pro­filed as being a threat.

More recent­ly, on one of the sur­vival boards I am on, a sur­vival­ist friend of mine made me more aware of the “Coop­er Codes” which are sit­u­a­tion­al states of aware­ness.  After doing some research I came across the fol­low­ing infor­ma­tion and I think would be good infor­ma­tion for peo­ple to have.  Basi­cal­ly the infor­ma­tion you will find out­lines who Jeff Coop­er is, and what his lev­els of sit­u­a­tion­al aware­ness can do for you  Check the infor­ma­tion out here:
